2012 Syrah

$28.00 $18.00

100% Syrah from the Crane vineyard along Bruella Road.  The granite sand in this area produces a rich, slightly spicy wine, full-bodied with a deep cherry red color with cedar and cherry notes.  Aged for 18 months in American Oak at the winery provides a vanilla finish that lingers on the back of tongue.

Varietal Fun Facts:   Like many wines, Syrah has an Old World and a New World style.  Syrahs from the Old World (think France, Italy) tend to have more acidity and earthy-herbaceous aromas. New World Syrahs (think California, Australia and South America) tend to be fruitier with a spicy finish.
