Our 2014 Block 14 Zinfandel is Estate Grown. It is a pure Zin, not blended with any other grapes. We just love the fruity bouquet and flavors characteristic of this 100% Zinfandel. It is perfect just on its own.
Our Block 14 Zin comes from our fields just east of Bruella Road. The deep sandy loam in this area and careful canopy management allows us to dry farm the vines, with no irrigation after bloom and until after harvest. These vineyard practices provide grapes with more flavor and color.
Year after year Block 14 yields a bright, lively and intense wine and our 2014 vintage is no different. At the winery it is aged in neutral oak barrels for up to 18 months to focus on the wonderful fruit flavors of Zinfandel.
This wine is one of our March 2017 Wine Club Recommendations. Come on by for a taste.

Varietal Fun Facts: Zinfandel, America’s grape, actually had its origins in Croatia, has certainly found a home in Lodi, “The Zinfandel Capital of the World”. Zinfandels can range in style from a lighter medium-bodied wines with strawberry flavors and lower alcohol (~ 13.5% alcohol) to big bold full-bodied wines with raspberries and jammy flavors that can be high in alcohol (16% alcohol and above).
