Our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon – Syrah combines the best of both worlds to produce a delightfully drinkable wine, ready to please the palate or enhance any hearty robust meal. The deep ruby red color catches your eye. Aromas of dark fruit entice you to give it a sip. Syrah is first out of the gate, gracing your palate with dark sweet berries. As the Syrah tapers off the Cab kicks in bringing in yummy dark cherries and black pepper. Aged here in the winery for 18 months in new American Oak, this is a robust full bodied wine that pleasantly coats the mouth, finishing off with a lingering oak finish.
As delightful as this wine is right now it is definitely cellar worthy and will improve with age.

Varietal Fun Facts: It is curious, and interesting, that blending two wines that traditionally stand on their own would yield such a delightful wine. Rather than being harsh, awkward or clumsy with the wines fighting for dominance Cab-Syrah blends bring out the best in each varietal for a wine that is full-bodied yet light, lively and fun to enjoy.
